Why it matters

Every transient generator certificate rests on an oscilloscope

Burst, surge, ESD and automotive pulse parameters are all measured with an oscilloscope, and the scope's own amplitude accuracy and bandwidth enter the uncertainty of each. A laboratory that calibrates its own generators, or verifies them between external calibrations, needs its oscilloscope on an accredited certificate. Bandwidth and rise time matter most for ESD and burst work.

The measurement uncertainty for each parameter is stated on the certificate. Field calibration is included in the scope for every line above.

Questions we are asked

Are all channels calibrated?

Yes, each channel at each vertical range in use. Tell us if some channels can be excluded to shorten the visit.

Can high-voltage and differential probes be included?

Yes. Probe attenuation and bandwidth are calibrated on the probe and clamp page's scope, in the same visit.

Does calibration include the manufacturer's self-calibration?

The oscilloscope's internal self-calibration is run before measurement where the manufacturer recommends it, then the instrument is measured against traceable references.

Which countries do you cover on site?

Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, with Penang as the base. Other locations on request.
