Pulse amplitude, rise and fall time, pulse duration and repetition time of ISO 7637-2 and -3 generators, load dump simulators and ISO 16750-2 supply-variation sources measured on site under LAB Support Ltd.'s A2LA accredited ISO/IEC 17025 scope.
Pulses 1, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4 and load dump pulse 5 each have amplitude, rise time, duration and source impedance defined in ISO 7637-2, and the capacitive and inductive coupling clamps of ISO 7637-3 add their own. Manufacturer specifications from VW, Ford, GM, Stellantis and the Japanese OEMs reference them with tighter tolerances. Automotive laboratories are audited on these certificates.
