Every copper cable that leaves the chamber changes the test. CHANGEN transceivers convert bus and analogue signals to light at the equipment under test, so the operator sees the same data outside the chamber with nothing conductive crossing the wall.
Each model converts a specific bus or signal to fibre at the equipment under test and back to electrical at the control room.
RF fibre-optic links carry antenna and probe signals across the chamber without the loss, pickup and ground loops of coax.
