ICX Lab Services is an EMC compliance company based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia, founded in 2018 by a team with an accredited EMC laboratory background. We help manufacturers and test laboratories across Southeast Asia keep their equipment calibrated, their test systems current and their products compliant.

Three businesses with one purpose

EMC compliance usually means dealing with a calibration lab in one country, an equipment vendor in another and a consultant somewhere else. ICX Lab brings those three roles together in one regional team.

  • Accredited Calibration Service, on site in Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam under the A2LA accredited scope of LAB Support Ltd., Japan, as its authorised Southeast Asia sales representative
  • EMC System Turn-Key Solutions, as the authorised distributor for AMETEK CTS, Frankonia, Nexio and CHANGEN
  • Consulting, for manufacturers and test laboratories that need practical EMC and accreditation guidance

Our story

Founded in 2018, by people from the other side of the bench

ICX Lab Services was founded in Penang in 2018. Every member of the team came from an accredited EMC laboratory background. Before we sold a single instrument, we ran the tests, maintained the scope, answered the assessor, chased the calibration due dates and explained a failed result to a customer who needed to ship that week.

That background is the company. We do not approach a laboratory as a sales territory. We approach it as the place we used to work, and we bring what we wished our own suppliers had brought us.

  • Accredited laboratory experience in emission and immunity testing under ISO/IEC 17025, from routine product testing to assessment days
  • Calibration from the user's side: we managed the instruments that were calibrated, so we know which certificate an assessor reads and which parameter matters
  • Systems we have operated: the generators, receivers, chambers and software we now supply are the ones we spent years running

A laboratory's problems rarely arrive as a purchase order. They arrive as a date, a question or a failed result. This is how we respond to the ones we know best.

The assessment is in six weeksCalibration certificates are due, one instrument is out of scope and the last report needs a traceability statement. We schedule the on-site calibration around the assessment date and issue certificates before we leave.
The product failed on Friday afternoonThe customer wants an answer, not a re-test slot next month. We help you separate a real non-compliance from a set-up or instrument issue, and say which it is.
A customer asks for a test you have never runA new product line brings a standard that is not on your scope yet. We work out what the method needs, from set-up and equipment to calibration and what the assessor will look for, and help you run it right the first time.
