What the FL8018-Kit is used for

The field probe is the reference for every radiated immunity test: the level setting of ISO 11452-2 and MIL-STD-461 RS103 and the uniform field calibration of IEC 61000-4-3 all rest on its reading. Because it measures pulsed fields as well as CW, it also serves the radar pulse tests of vehicle manufacturer specifications. A battery-powered probe stops in the middle of a long calibration; a laser-powered probe does not, and the fibre link keeps the control system isolated from the field.

The FL8000 series has five probes: FL8200 for 5 kHz to 200 MHz, FL8009 to 9.3 GHz, FL8018 to 18 GHz, FL8040 to 40 GHz and FL8060 to 60 GHz. The FM7004A field monitor, sold separately, applies the correction factors automatically.

The upper frequency and the field range. The FL8009 covers 20 MHz to 9.3 GHz, the FL8018 to 18 GHz, the FL8040 to 40 GHz and the FL8060 to 60 GHz. The FL8200 covers 5 kHz to 200 MHz.
